Otari Light on the Forest Floor (2015). Screen print and laser raster.
Illustrations and sketchbook Looking at the New Zealand forest through drawing, on and off site.
Being in a native NZ forest evokes sensations of being encapsulated, immersed and sheltered in an underwater space. The canopy echoes the surface of the water; both are boundaries between internal and external spaces, neither closed nor open. There is no defined wall, no obstruction to prevent you entering or slipping out again, no discernible boundary.
A collection of illustration and screen prints.
Layers of the forest (2013). Silk-screen printing on cotton.
